' Voyage ~ Collection of Chillout Edits & Sound Design ' is the first solo down tempo / ambientronica album from Japanese Electronic music producer SUPERCOZI.

Album was designed to gives you a refreshing 50 minutes of audio journey in the dark and uncertain Covid-19 time with smooth 6 newly-edit chillout songs she produced for the various projects, plus 3 Sound Designs for the short visual clips.

Location of those inspirations & recordings were the various exotic places including Bali ( Indonesia ), Nice Côte d'Azur ( France ), Andalsua (Spain), Tuscany ( Italy).

All 9 tunes were remastered by her to reach wider soundscapes and to crystallize the frequency.

As she left her home country Japan in 1999, and had been a digital nomad for 2 decades, Every tune represents certain period of her life like a cinema sound track.
Here is a little back ground story for each track....


1 - Aksara 2020 feat.Minima Sheen
Originally released in 2010 as a part of second album ' Fruits From The Future', featuring an old friend / singer Michele Adamson ( Shpongle ).

Recording was done during Michele's stay at her home in Seminyak, Bali where she spent 15 years with her ex husband and a music producer Gus Till. Adamson was also a frequent visitor of their home in Devon, UK between 2000-2002.

This new version extended original with additional sound and gave wider soundscape.

2 - Sayan Moon feat. Chika Asamoto ( 2020 extended edit )
Originally composed and released digitally in 2015 as a part of a concept album ' BIASA ~ Deep Inside The Bamboo Forest ' for Bali based resort fashion brand BIASA's new collection.

Tune featuring mesmerizing, other-worldly saxophone improvisation by a well known Japanese sax player Chika Asamoto who was also a Bali resident back then. Cozi gave this title to the tune because Asamoto lived in Ubud, a cultural centre of Bali, and Sayan is the name of a sacred valley for Balinese hindu. Asamoto also produced an experimental Jazz ambient album ' Catalpa ' in Norway with Till in 2010.

This new version extended original with additional sound and remastered with wider soundscape.

3 - Distant Sparkle
1min sound design piece for an experimental art clip by a Monaco-Nice based Romanian Photographer Iulian Giurca.

4 - Dawn

5 - Stranger in Paradise
Originally released in 2010 as a part of a Bespoke CD ' The Villas Bali Vol. 1 '. Also featured in 2013 in a short clip by Zirbad, Freedive boat trip & life style company that operates across islands beyond Bali. Clip featured marine life images of the world renown dive spot Raja Ampat.

6 - Calabar Moon
Originally released in 2009 as a part of a Bespoke CD ' Uluwatu Experience 1 - Bulgari Hotels & Resort Bali '.

7 - Horizon, Horizon ( Paam 9 Mix )
Originally released in 2009 as a part of a Bespoke CD ' Uluwatu Experience 1 - Bulgari Hotels & Resort Bali '.
She refer the tune as her most favorite jazzy broken beat song with her own singing.

8 - Secret Garden feat.Susanna Perini ( 2020 extended edit )
Originally composed and released digitally as a part of a concept album ' BIASA ~ Deep Inside The Bamboo Forest ' in 2015 for Bali based resort fashion brand BIASA's new collection.
Featuring voice is BIASA founder / Italian expat fashion designer Susanna Perini, who also runs a contemporary Indonesian art gallery in Seminyak where Cozi collaborated as a sound curator.

This new version extended original version with additional sound and remastered with wider soundscape.

9 - Tuscany
Sound design sketch produced for her imaginary film that was formed by inspirations she captured during her travel in Tuscany / Italy in 2018.

『ボヤージュ～ チルアウト・エディット＆サウンドデザイン』は、南仏在住の日本人エレクトロニック音楽プロデューサーSUPERCOZIの初のソロ・チルアウト・アルバムだ。9曲５０分に及ぶ本作品は、暗く不透明なコロナ禍においてリフレッシュと癒しを同時に体験できるようにと製作された。


バリ島、ニース・コートダジュール、スペインのアンダルシア、イタリアのトスカーナなどエキゾティックなロケーションでの様々なプロジェクト用音源を新たにアレンジしなおした6曲と、短編映像作品のために製作した3曲のサウンド・デザインを収録した５０分に及ぶ全9曲の作品である。

音世界に広がりを与え透明感を持たせるために、彼女が暮らす南フランスのニース・コート・ダジュールにある自宅スタジオで彼女自身がリマスタリングを手がけた。

世界的に大人気のシュポングルのヴォーカル、ミシェル・アダムソン（a.k.a ミニマ・シーン／１曲目アクサラ）や日本人サックス・プレイヤーの朝本千可（２曲目サヤン・ムーン）などが参加した楽曲はそれぞれが異国情緒に溢れながらアンビエンスの美しい音世界を構築している。


1999年に母国の日本を離れ、デジタル・ノマドとしての人生を20年にも及んで送ってきた彼女。
自然にどの曲も映画のサウンドトラックのように彼女の人生のある時期を切り取っており、当時の彼女の精神状態やその場所の空気感をまるで真空パックしたかのように内包している。
航海（ボヤージュ）というタイトルが示すように、これは地図のない航海を続けてきた彼女にしか作り得なかった作品だと言えるだろう。



コロナ禍で閉塞感が蔓延している時代において一服の清涼剤になればという思いでリリースされた本作品。彼女筆による各曲にまつわる下のエピソードを読みながらぜひ航海を楽しんでほしい。そして水平線にやがて現れるであろう夜明けの一筋の光を感じてほしい。

1 - アクサラ2020 feat.ミニマ・シーン

オリジナルは2010年にリリースされた2ndアルバム「Fruits From The Future」収録。旧友でシンガーのミシェル・アダムソン(Shpongle)をフィーチャーしています。レコーディングは彼女がバリ島を訪れ、私の元夫で音楽プロデューサーのガス・ティルと15年間を過ごしたセミニャックの自宅に滞在していた時。彼女は2000年から2002年の間、イギリスのデボン州にあった我が家にも頻繁に訪れていました。
今回の新バージョンでは、オリジナルにサウンドを追加し、より広いサウンドスケープでリマスターされています。


2 - サヤン・ムーン feat. 朝本千可 ( 2020 extended edit )

バリ島で大人気のリゾート・ファッションブランドBIASAの2015年新作コレクションのためのコンセプトアルバム「BIASA ~ Deep Inside The Bamboo Forest」の一部として製作しデジタルでリリースされました。



当時バリ在住だった著名日本人サックスプレイヤーの朝本千可さんによる、幽玄でどこか異次元の世界から聞こえてくるようなミステリアスなサックスの即興演奏が美しい楽曲です。この曲のタイトルはチカちゃんがバリの文化の中心地であるウブドにあるヒンドゥー教の聖なる谷サヤンの近くに住んでいらっしゃることから名づけました。

また、2010年には彼女と私の前夫ガスがノルウェーで実験的なジャズアンビエントアルバム「Catalpa」を制作したりもしています。


本作では、オリジナルに音のレイヤーを追加し、より広いサウンドスケープでリマスターしました。


3 - Distant Sparkle

モナコとニースを拠点に活動するルーマニア人写真家ユリアン・ギウルカによる実験的なアートクリップのための1分間のサウンドデザイン作品です。


4 - 夜明け

元々はユース主催のSpace Mountain Festival 2019 (アンダルシア/スペイン)の1分間のプロモーションクリップのために製作したものが５分のアンビエント・ダウンテンポに成長したものです。


5 - ストレンジャー・イン・パラダイス

2010年にビースポークCD「The Villas Bali Vol.1」の一部としてリリースされました。また、2013年には、インドネシアの島々でフリーダイブのボートトリップ＆ライフスタイルを提唱しているジルバッド社のショートクリップにも使用されました。世界的に有名なダイビングスポット、ラジャアンパットの海洋生物の映像をフィーチャーしたクリップでした。



6 - カラバー・ムーン

2009年、ブルガリ・ホテルズ＆リゾート バリのビースポークCD「ウルワツ・エクスペリエンス 1 - ブルガリ ホテルズ＆リゾート バリ」の一部としてリリースされました。


7 - ホライゾン、ホライゾン (パーム9ミックス)

同じく2009年のブルガリ・ホテルズ＆リゾート バリのビースポークCD「ウルワツ・エクスペリエンス 1 - ブルガリ ホテルズ＆リゾート バリ」の一部としてリリースされました。この曲は私自身が歌っている曲では一番気に入っているジャジーなブロークンビートの曲です。


8 - シークレット・ガーデン feat.スザンナ・ペリーニ ( 2020 extended edit )

’サヤン・ムーン’と同じコンセプトアルバムの一部として製作しました。声を担当しているのは、BIASAの創業者であり、セミニャックでインドネシアの現代アートギャラリーも経営しているイタリア人ファッションデザイナーのスザンナ・ペリーニ。私はこのギャラリーとブランドのサウンド・キュレイターとして長年一緒に仕事させていただきました。
この新バージョンでは、オリジナル・バージョンにサウンドを追加し、より広いサウンドスケープでリマスターされています。


9 - トスカーナ

2018年のトスカーナ/イタリア旅行中に捉えたインスピレーションを元に形成された架空の映画のために制作されたサウンドデザインスケッチです。
