( 日本語は下 ) Luxury addict is the debut album by Supercozi that she self-produced under this artist name. It's also the first release from Hypo Espresso Records that she founded in Bali, Indonessia in 2005.

The album contain 10 songs that she had written and programmed and arranged in her home studio in Seminyak, South Bali where She lived from 2003 to 2016.
She built a small studio Super Cocoon in jungle like lush garden, and produced more than 100 songs after this album until she moved to Nice Cote d'Azur, South France.

Album's sound direction is ranged from Lounge techno to Dubtronika, Asian ambient with 60's cinema like retro flavors and psychedelic twist and Japanese kitschness.

Half of the album is under the strong influence of Electroclash -A genre of music that fuses punk & new wave and 1990s techno, retro-style electro pop. It emerged in the late 1990s, often connected with indie fashion labels such as Kitsune Maison ( Paris, France ), quickly became popular. The trend is now thought of as reaching its peak around 2003, and the genre were also categorized as Synthcore, Retro electro, Tech-pop, Nouveau disco, or New new wave.

You can definitely hear Supercozi's musical background which was - Once a Punk & New Wave band musician turned into a Psychedelic-Electronica artist after discovered Trip-hop and Psy-Chill - in this album.
She experimented to combine many completely different genres, plus added her years obsession for exotica sound, which contributed to create her own unique world.

Album was then mixed by her husband at the time, Gus Till whom a well known music producer in UK whom she met in 1999. Till also remixed Bonnie and Clyde 2005

ラグジュアリー・アディクトは、日本人エレクトロニック音楽プロデューサー、スーパーコージーがこのアーティスト名でリリースした初のアルバムだ。２００５年に彼女自身が主宰としてインドネシアのバリ島で設立したハイポ・エスプレッソ・レコードからのファースト・リリースでもある。

このアルバムには、彼女が２００２年から２０１６年まで夫や子供達と住んでいたバリ島スミニャックの自宅スタジオで書き下ろした１０曲が収録されている。 彼女はジャングルのような緑豊かな庭に小さなスタジオ、 スーパーコクーンを建設し、このアルバム以降、南フランスのニース・コートダジュールに再移住するまでに１００曲以上の楽曲を制作した。

アルバムの音世界はアップテンポでキャッチーなラウンジ・テクノから始まり、少しダークなダブ・エレクトロニカやアジアン・アンビエントを折衷的に織り交ぜた洒脱なエレクトロニカ。どこか６０～７０年代の映画を彷彿とさせるテイストに、サイケデリックなひねりと日本っぽいキッチュさが散りばめられている。

アルバムの半分は当時人気のあったジャンル、エレクトロ・クラッシュの影響を強く受けている。エレクトロ・クラッシュとはパンク＆ニューウェイブと９０年代テクノ、レトロなエレクトロポップを融合させたジャンルで、９０年代後半にベルリン、パリ、ロンドンを中心に登場し、キツネ・メゾン (フランス・パリ) などのインディーズ系ファッション・レーベルとの繋がりが深く、瞬く間に世界で人気を博した。現在では２００３年頃にピークを迎えたと考えられており、他にもシンセコア、レトロ・エレクトロ、テック・ポップ、ヌーボー・ディスコ、ニュー・ニューウェイブなどと呼ばれることもある。　

この辺りの要素を強く反映した事で、スーパーコージの音楽的背景である、もともとパンク＆ニューウェーブ・バンドにいたミュージシャンが、トリップホップやサイケデリック電子音楽の影響を受けてエレクトロニック・アーティストに転身した、という経緯も感じるアルバムに仕上がっている。全く異なるジャンルの実験的カットアップと、彼女が若い頃より傾倒していたエキゾティカ・サウンドがヒップ感を醸し出している。


アルバムのミックスは１９９９年に知り合ったイギリスの著名な音楽プロデューサーであり、当時彼女の夫であったガス・ティルが担当した。ティルはBonnie & Clyde 2005のリミックスも担当している。
